Be Aware of Potential Scam

While healthcare reform has led to many changes, door-to-door fundraising is not among them, explains Coffey Health System Chief Executive Officer Dennis George.  “We have received questions from the community regarding door-to-door visitors asking for donations to support the hospital. Coffey Health System and Coffey County Hospital are not involved in this fundraising activity, nor are we aware of a campaign on our behalf,” George states. “The community's trust is paramount in everything we do, so we hope to clarify that we are not involved in this situation in any way.”

New Urologist Joins Specialty Clinic

We welcome J. Jason Robinson, M.D. to our exceptional CCH Specialty Clinic staff.  Dr. Robinson brings his urology practice to Burlington on the first Friday of the month.  In addition to patient exams, he will also perform procedures here at the hospital.  We're pleased to offer this convenience to our patients!  Dr. Robinson's practice is based in Chanute.       

 

Auxiliary Earns Second Consecutive Gold Award

The Friends of Coffey Health System received the Gold Award of Excellence from the Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas and the Kansas Hospital Association at a luncheon on Friday, November 13, at the Century II Convention Center in Wichita.

CHS Employees Collect 1,400 Pantry Items for God's Storehouse

A food drive for God's Storehouse yielded more than 1,400 items from the staff and volunteers at Coffey Health System.  When the boxes and bags filled a truck, an ambulance was brought in to transport the remaining supplies. CHS employees Terri Tweedy, Jo Neill, Melissa Hall, and Toby Paige are shown (above) loading the ambulance, along with James Higgins and Sam Morrow.  (Right)  Toby Paige, EMT-I/D, makes good use of a gurney, loading it down with pantry and personal care items for local families.
