Auxiliary Earns Second Consecutive Gold Award
The Friends of Coffey Health System received the Gold Award of Excellence from the Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas and the Kansas Hospital Association at a luncheon on Friday, November 13, at the Century II Convention Center in Wichita.
In addition to greeting visitors, auxiliary members help with outpatient clinic admissions, run a thriving gift shop, and offer scholarship opportunities to area graduates. Proceeds from the gift shop and other fundraisers throughout the year are used to help purchase equipment and beautification projects throughout Coffey Health System. Auxiliary members also knit caps and booties for the hospital’s newborns and present stuffed animals and balloons to patients under the age of twelve.
The Auxiliary unit needs additional volunteers who are looking for rewarding opportunities to be of service to the community. For more information, contact Lois Brinkman or Bernice Bolton at 364-2121 Ext. 4267.
