Coffey County Hospital partners with the University of Kansas Hospital to offer continuing professional education for healthcare providers throughout eastern Kansas.


 

COPD Update

Objectives:

  • Discuss normal age-related changes that impact pulmonary function in older adults
  • Describe the pathophysiology of chronic obstructive disease
  • Relate the clinic presentation and diagnostic testing with COPD
  • Identify common terms on chest x-ray reports
  • Discuss emergency therapies utilized with COPD

Upcoming CEU Events

Continuing education classes are tentatively scheduled on the third Wednesday of month through June 2012.  The December program has been scheduled for December 6 to miss the hectic Christmas season.  The programs are held in Allen Woods 2 Conference Room until further notice.  Each session is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 Attendance Policy

If a participant misses more than 10% of an offering, which is two or more hours long, a certificate of attendance will not be issued. Unless otherwise specified, partial credit will not be awarded for this offering. On one-hour offerings, the entire fifty minutes must be attended to receive a certificate of attendance. An attendance monitor is on site at all times.
