County Hospital will host a Diabetes Free Fair from 12:00 to 6:00
p.m. on Friday, November 2 in the Allen Woods Conference Center.
The fair will focus on educating diabetes patients and their friends
speaker Heather Bolen, a CHS physical therapist and diabetic herself,
will present helpful tips on leading a normal life while managing
diabetes. Additionally, other individuals whose lives have been
affected by diabetes will share their experiences. The presentation
begins at 1:00 p.m. in Allen Woods II conference room.
diabetes fair will feature free blood pressure and blood sugar
screenings, ideas for nutrition and activity, as well as foot and
diabetes-related vendors will be on hand to provide valuable
information. These vendors include Global Medical Direct, Merck —
Journey for Control, Sanofi Aventis, Abbott Diabetes Care, B.D.
Medical, Lilly, Lifescan, and Medtronic.
