Lunch & Learn:  Hearing Loss
February 23 (Wed.) at noon

Audiologist Mary Wade will discuss the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing loss.  While some hearing losses can be helped with medical treatment by ear, nose and throat physicians; other forms  can be helped with hearing aids, properly fit by an audiologist.  Find out which specialist is for you.

Would you know what to do if someone was choking?  What about a burn or deep cut?  Would you recognize the signs of a stroke?  Emergencies happen every day, so the paramedics and EMT’s of Coffey County EMS will discuss how to recognize and provide immediate assistance in various situations.

We're celebrating National Hospital Week by inviting the community for an evening of food, fun, and information.  Learn tips from the experts about treating childhood scrapes and common illnesses to sports injuries and life-threatening emergencies.  Coffey Health System staff and healthcare professionals from various area agencies will have demonstrations, hands-on activities, and information for all ages.

Lunch & Learn:  Decoding Your Blood Test
June 3 at noon

Each year, hundreds of people take advantage of Coffey Health System’s Community Blood Tests in late April and early May.  At this special Lunch & Learn event, a panel of experts will address blood test results in general, easy-to-understand terms and explain how lifestyle choices can help to bring high/low numbers back within an acceptable range.
