Coming Friday, June 21!
Regular physical activity provides many health benefits, including improvements in blood pressure, diabetes, osteoarthritis, and mood. Nevertheless, a majority of older Americans are insufficiently active. The next presentation in the Coffey Health System Lunch & Learn series will address how to “get moving” and begin a manageable exercise program that will benefit overall health.
CHS Physical Therapists Joan Kuhlmann and Jake Rasmussen will discuss and demonstrate basic physical activity to help jumpstart an exercise plan. Their presentation will address aerobic exercise, strength training, and balance and flexibility.
The public is invited to attend the Lunch & Learn on Friday, June 21, from noon to 1 p.m. in Coffey County Hospital's Allen Woods 2 Conference Room.
Attendance and lunch are free. Seating is limited, so register today by contacting Lacey Ballard at (620) 364-2121 Ext. 4174 or lballard@coffeyhealth.org. Information and online registration is also available at www.coffeyhealth.org.
