Join us for the next Lunch & Learn Event
Skin Cancer Prevention & Detection
adults have found themselves wondering, “Is this a freckle, mole, or
something my doctor should see?” Learn to spot the differences between a
harmless mole and skin cancer by attending Coffey Health System’s Lunch
& Learn event at noon on Wednesday, June 15.
Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer in the United States, but most cases can be prevented. Nurse Practitioner Alex Heeren will provide important information about skin cancer prevention and detection.
"With summer coming, this is a perfect opportunity to learn more about protecting your skin and recognizing early signs of skin cancer," said Director of Marketing Tracy Campbell. "We're glad to once again offer dermatology services at Coffey County Hospital, and Alex Heeren is a great addition to our specialty clinic staff. We look forward to sharing her expertise with the community."
The presentation is from noon to 1 p.m. in Coffey County Hospital's Allen Woods 2 Conference Room. Attendance and lunch are free; however, seating is limited. To register by phone, call Melanie Mozey at (620) 364-2121 Ext. 4174. Online registration is also available at www.coffeyhealth.org. The Lunch & Learn series is a community service of Coffey Health System.
