Retirement (All employees)
All CHS employees contribute to a 414(h) Plan in lieu of the Social Security retirement plan. Meaning, CHS is not a part of Social Security benefits, kind of like a school or city. Instead, CHS puts an amount equal to 7% of your salary into the plan and the employee is required to contribute 4%. This equals an investment of 11% of your salary and you are 100% vested in these funds from day one. You direct how and which funds, within the plan, are invested. You can also choose to contribute more than the employee base of 4% into a 457, there is not an employee match option with this additional plan.
Discretionary Leave (Full & part-time employees)
As a new hire, the current accrual of DL (PTO) is at a rate of .09615 per straight time hours worked. The maximum potential DL hours earned, based on 2,080 annual worked hours, is 200. This will increase after the 3rd completed year of service. DL is available to utilize for vacation, holidays and sick leave the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
