Healthcare Screenings
Healthcare providers across the state are identifying a side effect of the pandemic that has nothing to do with COVID-19: a noticeable drop in preventative care visits to healthcare providers. This drop can lead to increased numbers of advanced or life-threatening illnesses. One such example is the nearly 25,000 Kansans who delayed cancer screenings in 2020.
To urge individuals to revisit their doctor and reclaim their health, Coffey Health System is joining other Kansas hospitals in the Catch Up on Care campaign.
“Because of COVID, we’re seeing patients neglecting their preventative care,” said Chief Medical Officer John Shell, M.D. “It’s time to get back to maintaining our health. To help with that, Coffey Health System has a new CT and a new DEXA scan providing multiple services. We’re here if you need us and we care about your health.”
Partnering hospitals throughout Kansas encourage everyone to schedule any missed visits with their healthcare providers. Catch up on:
Regular visits and annual screenings are the best way to maintain your health. They also allow health care providers to identify and address serious conditions earlier. Now is the time to catch up on what you missed and reclaim your health journey.
