Coffey County Hospital in Burlington was recently named one of the nation’s top 20 critical access hospitals (CAHs) for best quality practices.Coffey County Hospital scored among the top CAHs as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health for quality index—a rating based on the percentile rank across rural-relevant process of care measures.

The Chartis Group also included Coffey County Hospital in its list of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in February 2022. This list represents the top 7 percent of the nation’s 1,350+ CAH facilities. The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) announced the recipients on May 4.
