Physician Assistant Joseph Clark joined the Coffey Health System emergency room team in March after providing coverage for clinics and emergency departments throughout Kansas. He brings over 18 years of experience to Coffey County Hospital.
"Joe is a compassionate healthcare provider with a vast knowledge of critical care and emergency medicine that will benefit the patients in our own emergency department," said Vernon Peters, emergency room supervisor.
Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing in 1994. In 2001 he received his Physician Assistant degree from the University of North Dakota. As a P.A. Joe has experience in trauma, general surgery, critical care, and family medicine.
CHS is also pleased to welcome Nurse Practitioner Annette VanAnne to Yates Center Medical Clinic. She previously worked at Via Christi Mercy Clinic in Pittsburg.
Annette earned her Post Masters Certificates of Nurse-Midwifery from the University of Kansas Medical Center and Family Nurse Practitioner from Pittsburg State University. She also earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pittsburg State University with over twelve years of experience delivering and managing care for patients across the lifespan.
"Annette comes with vast healthcare knowledge and experiences as a nurse practitioner and certified midwife," stated Samantha Kuhlmann, chief clinic officer. "Along with her local ties to the Yates Center community and Woodson County, she will be a welcomed face patients will trust and appreciate. We are very excited about Annette’s transition back to her home roots and the opportunities she will bring to the table to enhance patient care opportunities."
