“We’re excited to welcome everyone back,” said CHS Marketing Director Tracy Campbell. “Since our last event in 2019, Coffey County Hospital has added new wellness services including bone density scanning, low-dose lung cancer screens, cardiac scoring, and body composition scanning to name a few.”These new services create a “one-stop wellness” approach that allows women to schedule their mammograms, bone density, and other exams in one visit.Of course, the women’s conference will also highlight information about breast cancer detection.“One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, so it is vital that women understand the importance of mammography and that they know the facts about breast cancer,” explains Lead Mammography Technologist Lynn Bolen. “We encourage women of all ages to know their family history and learn about risk factors of breast cancer.”
Extra news: The hospital auxiliary, Friends of Coffey Health System, will have a
special booth at the Women's Health Conference to receive monetary donations for their annual military
care package project supporting canines and their handlers. Click here to learn more about this amazing project.
