The top 20 CAHs, including Coffey County Hospital, scored best among CAHs as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health for quality. The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) announces the rankings annually.
“To put that in perspective, there are 1,353 CAHs in the United States. This puts Coffey County Hospital’s quality measures in the top 1.5 percent, according to The National Rural Health Association,” said Chief Executive Officer Joben Rieth. “We are the only Kansas hospital recognized in this category, and we’ve earned back-to-back awards!
NRHA works with the Chartis Center for Rural Health to assess performance in eight areas: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge, and financial efficiency.
