Friends of Coffey Health System:
Generosity in Action
Last year, our volunteers (Friends of Coffey Health System) generously gave 3,586.5 hours of their time. These wonderful people manage the hospital gift shop, help pain clinic patients, collect plastic bags that are used to make remarkably durable benches, host bake sales, sponsor The DAISY Award, and assist with CHS events and special projects. They also donate funds toward hospital equipment and provide emergency clothing to patients in the ER.
Their generosity extends far beyond the hospital. Locally, they award scholarships to high school graduates and support blood drives. Even though our hospital no longer delivers newborns, the volunteers continue making caps and special snuggle items for the NICU at KU Med. Their service extends worldwide through an annual collection that supports active-duty and retired military canines.
We’re proud of Friends of CHS and their essential work in the hospital and beyond!
